New Services - CGI Models and Sketch Visualisations

Our Landscape Architecture Services now include 3D Computer Generated Images (CGI) and sketch visualisations.

This service provides a detailed and visual representation of plans to give a sense of scale to design plans, without substantially increasing the costs and timescales associated with a project.

Available at every stage of a project, CGI images and visualisations can be beneficial for presenting projects for consultation with key stakeholder groups.

In addition to our normal range of landscape architect services, we are also able to provide Landscape Visual Impact Assessments, a service that is often a critical aspect during the planning and design stages of a project.

Working closely with our arboriculturists and ecologists means that we can offer an integrated approach to landscape design management, providing a more efficient service to save clients time and money.

Please contact us for more information on our landscape services.

Event Year for Subsidence

2011 could be shaping up to be an event year for clay shrinkage subsidence.

Subsidence can have a huge impact on properties and can be a major headache for homeowners. While the methods used for predicting the onset of an event years are complex, and to a certain degree unreliable, there are several indicators that point to a higher incidence of subsidence this year.

With Spring 2011 being recorded as the driest for over 100 years and with further bouts of hot weather over the summer, there is a greater chance of soils beneath properties suffering the effects of depleted moisture reserves.Properties that have been built on shrinkable clay soils may experience subsidence movemenet due to soil shrinkage around the foundations of a building, which can cause damage to the property above.

If there are trees or shrubs located close to the property, then this problem can often be exacerbated as vegetation extracts even more moisture from the soil.

If you have a query relating to vegetation related clay shrinkage subsidence, please email us or call our office for more information.
